Membership Eligibility
SCBA-TX members are life scientists primarily of, but not be limited to, Chinese descent who are interested in furthering the objectives of the Society.
Membership is open to any individual residing in Texas and conducting biological research or otherwise contributing to the field of biological sciences.
Member Emeritus: an individual who is a Member of the Society and has retired from full-time employment.
Benefits and Services
The SCBA-TX’s mission is to accelerate the biomedical research within Texas through strengthening scientific and educational interactions among SCBA members and other colleagues.
To further our mission, we offer our members the following benefits:
- All members have the opportunity to participate in the Friday Faculty Club(Twice Per Month).
- Scientific Seminar and Professional networking will be provided in the Friday Faculty Club
- All members are eligible to take advantage of free registration of the SCBA-TX annual meeting.
- The trainees in all members’ labs are eligible to apply for scholar-in-training awards, which are evaluated by the performance of oral presentations in the SCBA-TX annual meeting.
- All members have the opportunity to participate in all society events hosted by SCBA-TX, including the New Year celebration party and the Back-to-school party.
- All members have the privilege of posting job openings, direct virtual communications via the SCBA social groups

How To Join
Membership Fee: $200/per year
Please bring a $200 check to any faculty, club, or any social event, or pay here with a PayPal account. Once your payment is received, an official receipt will be provided. After you receive your receipt, please send a copy with your name to scbatx3@gmail.com.
New Members:
Submit your application online or in person. The approval of new membership applications is determined by the membership committee.
